KineDok-fresh documentaries for early July days

KineDok, a new One World Romania project will bring 12 documentary movies from Central and Eastern Europe in 20 screening locations from 14 Romanian cities.

The new festival will bring films from Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Denmark and Romania in alternative locations such as cafes, clubs, factories and museums. The project comprising 200 screenings will get to Bucharest, Arad, Brasov, Constanta, Cluj-Napoca, Gala?i, Ia?i, Miercurea Ciuc, Oradea, Piatra-Neam?, Sfântu Gheorghe, Timi?oara and Târgu Mure?.

The opening is due in Bucharest on July 1 at Elvira Popescu cinema, at 19:30. The first screening is “Besence Tour”, also known as “Men with Balls”. The film star is the mayor of Besence Magyar village, Ignácz József who built a tennis court with European funds in a locality counting only 126 persons and facing a 98 pc unemployment rate. The documentary screening is also scheduled in Timisoara and Arad on July 2, and July 3.
