German Film Days in Bucharest

The young generation of German filmmakers will bring their productions to Bucharest during October 31- November 6. 12 successful German movies, eight fiction productions and four documentaries, will be screened at Cinema Studio. The event will be opened by the preview of “Kreuzweg/ Stations of the Cross” directed by Dietrich Brüggemann, winner of the Golden Bear’s best 2014 script award. The movie is due to be released by Parada Film starting November.

“German Film Days have become a tradition of the Bucharest cultural cityscape, getting to its 9th edition. The movies’ program is enriched by the exclusive German guests, directors, producers, screen writers and actors, who are to meet and talk to the audience”, Goethe Institute manager, Beate Köhler said.

“This year’s theme of the movies is mixing the search for affiliation, for life models, of family models in Germany nowadays and worldwide. The German cinema is young, daring, has personality and humour, is powerful and intelligent and has topped its highest level of performance. The films enlisted on the upcoming screening event have been released at the most prestigious five world festivals, representing real cinema experience the audience should not miss”, said the Romanian-born German director Alexandru Nanau, who has selected this year’s movies.

You can buy tickets at the cinema’s ticket office for RON 10. RON 28 subscriptions for four films are also available.
