“For a history of tattoos. The tattoo in Romania” volume is to be released on Sutu Palace in Bucharest on February 12.
“The tattoo trend has been present in the Romanian society since Neolithic times. During Middle Ages, the tattoo was present only at the noble caste and probably at some extravagant rulers such as Petru Cercel or Gratiani Gaspar. Along with the modern times, the fashion of tattoos also spread through all social structure, mainly in the city,” Adrian Majuru, one of the book’s authors told Mediafax.
A temporary exhibition about the history of the tattoos is also on display at Sutu Palace until April 30.
