Latest Magyar films in Bucharest during November 12-19

The 11th edition of the Magyar Film Week is kicking off on Sunday, November 12, with the latest Magyar movies to be screened in Bucharest. Running at the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, Horia Bernea Hall (3 Monetariei street) in Bucharest during November 12-19, the event will host film screenings (feature films, shorts, animations, documentaries) that will take movie lovers throughout the current cinema world. This year, the invited guest will be the BUSHO international short film festival from Budapest.

The entrance is free of any charge.

On Sunday, November 12, the Balassi Institute in Bucharest (8 Gina Patrichi street) will host a photo exhibition by Szilágyi Lenke at 18:30 and a jazz concert performed by Kozma Orsi Quartet at 19:00.

The opening of the film festival will take place on Monday, November 13 at 18:30, with a cine-concert “1945-the film seen through sounds”, with Szemző Tibor, the film’s composer and Gőz László, one of the musicians of the film soundtrack attending.

Török Ferenc: 1945, a drama shot in 2017, with Romanian subtitling will be screened at 20:00.

The festival’s guest, BuSho 1., English subtitling, BuSho – Budapest Shorts will take place on Tuesday at 18:00, while Kostyál Márk: The Coyote is scheduled at 20:00.

Winning films at the BuSho festival, BuSho 2 with English subtitle are scheduled on November 15 at 18:00 and Herendi Gábor: Kincsem – The bet of the century romance at 20:00.

Vranik Roland: The Citizen, a drama released in 2016 is screened on November 16 at 18:00 and Bereczki Csaba: Soul Exodus, a documentary musical filmed in 2016, at 20:00.

Friday, November 17 is booked for Francisco Escalante: Come on, guys! at 18:00, Dudás Balázs: Welcome at 19:00 and Madarász Isti: Time loop at 20:00.
