MARe / The Museum of Recent Art has announced an exclusive partnership with Voxa, Romania’s leading audio and e-book streaming platform, to bring a new dimension to the visitor experience. The audio guides for 10 artworks from the “All Our Todays” exhibition are narrated by three renowned Romanian personalities, marking a significant step towards modernizing and enhancing museum accessibility.
This new component of the exhibition offers visitors an innovative and interactive approach, blending tradition with cutting-edge technology. Guests of All Our Todays will have the chance to discover in-depth details about ten works by internationally acclaimed artists, narrated by well-known Voxa voices: Monica Davidescu, Șerban Pavlu, and Cristina Stănciulescu.
The audio guides, produced in Voxa studios for MARe, are available for free in Romanian, making art more accessible by providing valuable insights and interpretation keys for each artwork.
Ioana Enache, Director of MARe / The Museum of Recent Art in Romania, stated:
“We are thrilled about this collaboration with Voxa, an innovative company that seamlessly blends technology and education, making a significant impact on Romania’s cultural landscape. This partnership aligns with our efforts to make the museum experience more engaging and accessible for our audience. We are confident that these audio guides will add a unique dimension to the visual experience in the museum.”
Voxa, a company that has revolutionized Romania’s entertainment sector, is equally excited about this innovative project.
Alecsandra Roman, CMO of Voxa, commented:
“Sound has an extraordinary ability to transform cultural experiences, and the audio guides developed for MARe are another step in Voxa’s mission to redefine how education and storytelling can create deeper connections with art.”
One of the narrators, renowned Romanian journalist Cristina Stănciulescu, added:
“It was a fascinating experience to bring these artworks to life. Each piece has a unique story, and through narration, we’ve added a new dimension to the visual elements, encouraging visitors to perceive art from a different perspective. I hope these guides enrich the visitor experience and spark curiosity.”
These audio guides are part of a broader initiative by MARe to modernize the museum experience and enhance accessibility for various visitor categories. This collaboration with Voxa marks the first step in a long-term partnership aimed at transforming how audiences engage with cultural content. By making culture more accessible, this initiative offers museum visitors and audio guide users the opportunity to explore new perspectives and dimensions of contemporary art.
To access the audio guides available on the Voxa platform, visitors simply need to scan the QR code beneath the artwork’s label, immersing themselves in the symbolic universe of Antony Gormley, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Bridget Riley, A.R.
