Mozartissimo festival is held these days in Bucharest to celebrate 260 years since W.A. Mozart’s birth. The event due on July 8-10 addresses to all those in love with classic music and with Mozart. The entrance is free.
The Arts House cultural centre is hosting exhibitions, book launches, documentaries and concerts dedicated to the famous composer.
On Friday, as of 18:30 a chamber music recital performed by pianist Horia Mihail takes place in Mozart Hall, while later on at 8 p.m. an extraordinary concert performed by Orchestra Symphactory conducted by Tiberiu Soare is scheduled.
The “Mozart’s genius” BBC documentary, part I, will be screened also on Friday, at 22:00.
On Saturday, conductor Tiberiu Soare will lecture about Mozart within “The other Mozart” conference at the same venue at 17:30, while as of 20:00 the Royal Camerata will perform an extraordinary concert, conductor Horia Andreescu. The second part of the BBC documentary “Mozart’s genius” is screened at 22:00.
On Sunday, Elite Quartet will perform the “Mozartissimo” chamber music recital at 18:30 and Bucharest Symphonic Orchestra will tread the boards for an extraordinary concert at 20:00. Jin Wang will be the conductor.
Mozartissimo aims at becoming an annual tradition and a benchmark event on the stage of the classic festivals in Bucharest.
