The 21st edition of Gaudeamus International Book Fair will kick off on November 19 at Romexpo, Bucharest. For five days, avid readers will have the opportunity to browse old and new titles hosted by the 400 Romanian and foreign publishing houses, printing houses, educational centers, cultural institutes, media, NGOs, libraries and bookshops.
This year Russia literature and artists will be in the limelight, the embassy’s officials having promised a true Russian cultural infusion as far back as September. The group of Nordic countries represented by Denmark, Finland, Island, Norway and Sweden was 2013’s guest of honor, all five countries performing under “Cool Nordic Bucharest” slogan.
Gaudeamus Fair has been organized by Radio Romania since 1994.
