Two art selling exhibitions to help the victims of the ‘Colectiv’ fire will go on display in Bucharest in the upcoming days. The first exhibition “Let’s lend colour to life!” is organized by the pupils of “Nicolae Tonitza” Fine Arts High School, while the second is entitled “Art for Colectiv” with 36 artists donating their works for the nightclub fire’s victims.
The high school pupils open their exhibition at the Romanian Peasant Club in Bucharest on Tuesday, November 10, as of 6 p.m., in a fund-raising campaign to help the fire’s victims. The campaign has been initiated by Pro TV and the Romanian Red Cross.
“We should never be hopeless, as we can never be irretrievably destroyed. We think we are invincible, for we really are,” it’s the message written on the event’s Facebook page. “Share art to raise care!” the page also reads.
After the varnishing event, White Mahala band will perform a concert, at 8 p.m.
At the same, 36 artists decided to donate some of their works for the victims. “Each of us donated one-off works, art prints and postcards, with all the returns going exclusively to the victims of the Colectiv club accident,” it’s the message delivered by the young artists.
