Sequences from ‘Black Knight Decoded’ short film shot in Romania

Romanian consumers are present in the Black Knight Decoded epic short film, whose story is gravitating round the Black Knight satellite.

David Oyelowo, Golden Globes nominee, SAG awarded Freida Pinto, Emmy awarded director Jabbar Raisani, bestseller author James Frey and Grammies recipient Usher rejoined their talent to make an action and adventure film, produces by Pepsi in partnership with Levity Entertainment Group and UrtheCast, the Ultra High-Definition video system installed aboard the International Space Station.

The movie is starring cinema stars, Usher’s „Miracles” but also consumers in over 11 countries, Romania included. Black Knight Decoded is available at canalul Pepsi de YouTube.

Black Knight Decoded is telling a strong story about a father (Oyelowo), his daughter (Layla Crawford) and a conspirator (Pinto) in their attempt to decode the radio signals transmitted by the Black Knight satellite. While struggling to find answers before the Government halts their mission, the group is resorting to the help of communities around the world to deliver, together, universal messages of hope, unity and peace.

So, thousands of consumers from Australia, China, the Czech Republic, India, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Russia, United Arab Emirates, USA and Vietnam have been challenged to deliver these messages with the help of some big size devices, shot both on the Earth but also in the space with UrtheCast video cameras installed aboard the International Space Station.

In Romania, Pepsi fans have been invited at Electric Castle festival on June 27 to deliver our country’s message to the Universe. The message brought into the limelight two big size characters, wearing Romanian traditional folk costumes connected by the international symbol of peace. In order to bring the message to life, Electric Castle became the stage of an elaborate choreography, visible from the outer space, carried out with the help of a team comprising over 200 people and 4,000 square meters of fabrics in the national tricolors.

„Pepsi rejoined the Romanian consumers at Electric Castle Festival in an unprecedented project, while this experience turned into a sequence from the Black Knight Decoded world short film. We’ve worked together for a day, we have fun and lived a truly memorable experience. We are very proud that Romania was part of this extremely special global project,” said Adriana Nestoriuc, Marketing Manager Carbonated Soft Drinks & Juices PepsiCo Romania.
