‘The Nutcracker’- Saint-Petersburg Ballet on ice at Palace Hall

Saint Nicholas brings a unique show on ice at Palace Hall, Bucharest at 20:00.

The best ballet on ice can only come from the pioneers of this form of art and sport combined, so the show of The Saint Petersburg State Ballet on Ice should include everything you expect and more. The ones who choose to spend a magnificent evening with the Saint Petersburg State Ballet on Ice will be rewarded with a show put on stage by 80 ice-skating dancers, most of them having won international ice-skating competitions, outstanding choreographies and hundreds of wonderful costumes.

Nowadays, under the guidance of choreographer Konstantin Rassadin, the team continues the tradition of a dynamic and expressive dance required at Mariinski Theatre by Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Barishnikov and Natalia Dudinskaya.

The stage of the Palace Hall will become a skating rink again on December 6, and the 80 artists, wearing 800 costumes, will hover in beautiful skating figures over 3 tons of natural ice, providing its audience of all ages the most beautiful gift: extravaganza of ‘The Nutcracker’.

Among the lead performers, you will recognize world’s famous, multiple medal winning skaters such as Olympic Champion Evgeny Plushenko or European Champion Olga Ivanovna, headed by the great choreographer Konstantin Rassadin, thus continuing the tradition of a powerful and expressive dance style once demanded at the Mariinsky Theatre by Rudolph Nureyev, Mikhail Barishnikov or Natalya Dudinskaya.
