The Radio Chamber Music Orchestra invites music fans to a special journey to the most elegant and glitziest royal court of the European baroque- the legendary Sun King, Ludovic the 14th court. The event, entitled “Le roi danse (The king is dancing), is scheduled on February 25, 19:00 at Radio Hall. The concert’s title refers to the movie directed by Belgian Gérard Corbiau and proposes a scarce type of event on Bucharest stages, but highly appreciated in the Western countries.
The audience will enjoy famous compositions signed by Lully and Couperin, two most renowned musicians from the Sun King’s court. Armide, Ballet de la Nuit, Idylle sur la Paix, Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme by Lully and La Sultanne, Les Nations, L’apotheose du Lully by Francois Couperin will introduce the audience in the 15-16th century’s atmosphere.
The concert is performed by soprano Rodica Vica and young conductor Gabriel Bebeselea, who, at only 26 years old is the main conductor of National Romanian Opera in Iasi.
