On the eve of International Women’s Day, tenor Ştefan von Korch will debut the first edition of “Duel of the Tenors,” a special concert that highlights the star voice of the lyrical register – the tenor, bringing together tradition with a sparkling repertoire of canzonettas and famous arias. Alongside tenor Ştefan von Korch – host soloist, there will be two other exceptional lyrical male voices: tenor Alin Stoica and tenor Mihai Urzicana. The event will be hosted at the National Operetta and Musical Theatre “Ion Dacian” from 19.00. The Orchestra will be featured in a ballroom formula, conducted violin in hand by kapellmeister Geanina Meragiu.
Soloist, host and artistic coordinator of the performance, Stefan von Korch elaborates: “the concert is inspired by the tradition of the world’s great male vocal trio formulas, but it will also explore beyond them and will include a sparkling repertoire of famous arias and canzonets, a true “best of”, which cannot be missing landmarks such as “Nessun dorma,” “La Donna e mobile,” or “O Sole Mio,” as well as lyrical rarities, meant to delight and move the audience.”
The concert will be a special musical experience that will delight the soul of music lovers with the most famous pieces suitable for the star voice of the lyrical register – the tenor. And the evening will be completed by moments of instrumental virtuosity offered by the Orchestra of the National Operetta and Musical Theatre Ion Dacian in a salon format.
