World Opera Day celebrated with unique “Opera Baroque Brunch” at National Bucharest Opera

World Opera Day is celebrated on October 25, at 2:00 p.m., in a unique way: “Opera Baroque Brunch”, a traveling show from the series of successful “Opera Vie” performances, directed by Alexandru Nagy. A new musical experience, designed to disconnect you from the daily routine and noise of the city.

The soloists of the Experimental Studio in Musical Performing Arts “Ludovic Spiess”, accompanied by the pianist Bogdana Grecova, will transport you to the era of Baroque harmonies and the emotion of the famous composers who marked this musical style.

An extraordinary recital exclusively with baroque music that includes famous pre-classical arias and duets such as: “Tornami a vagheggiar”; the duet “Io t’abbraccio” by Händel; the aria “When I am laid in earth” by Purcell; aria “Cara sposa” by G.F. Handel, one of the most moving arias from the opera Rinaldo, considered by Handel himself to be one of his most beautiful creations.

With the extraordinary participation of countertenors Alexandru Costea and Matei Tudose, tenor Dragan Najdoski, along with sopranos Daria Lupu, Valeria Beliman, Amalia Lazarciuc, Diana Hurjă, Edith Adetu, Cătălina Sima and Alexandra Cârstea.

In honor of this celebration, the bar will be open, giving you the opportunity to purchase fine drinks, which you will be able to enjoy during the show.
