Valentine’s Day and Dragobete, marked by the Village Museum and through literary event

National Village Museum “Dimitrie Gusti” in Bucharest and the “Brand de Tara” Association will organize between February 21 and 24 an event dedicated to the Romanian Valentine’s Day – Dragobete, which is part of the cultural project entitled “Seasons at the Village Museum: Spring.Youth Holidays”.

The event’s program includes the “Dragobete kiss the girls!” photo exhibition, at its fourth edition and opened to public in the “Gheorghe Focsa” hall, organized together with the “My dear Bucharest” Association, costumes’ presentations, musical and dance performances, contests with prizes, photo sessions for couples in love, a fair with craftsmen coming from all over the country and traditional cuisine.

Dragobete, as well as Valentine’s Day, will be marked also through a literary event, the “I literally love you” campaign, to be held starting with Valentine’s Day (February 14) and up to Dragobete (February 24), informs Mediafax.

Through the “Literally I love you!” campaign all lovers are challenged to combine, in an “as touching, weird or unexpected” manner, their feelings for their lovers and their favorite book from the “Litera” publishing house.

The participants at the campaign will publish their statements on their Facebook personal accounts, tagging “Litera” publishing house. Subsequently, a hundred of them will receive book prizes.

Another component of the “I literally love you!” campaign will be to offer books as gifts, alongside famous love letters, to couples traveling with a certain taxi company in Bucharest, on February 14.
