Vienna Strauss Festival Orchestra enchants Romanian audience on December 11 in Timisoara

Vienna Strauss Festival Orchestra begins tour in Romania with ‘Vienna Classic Christmas’ show on December 11 in Timisoara.

The two concerts at Palace Hall in Bucharest on December 20 and 21 will close the tour. Soprano Leontina Vaduva and tenor Robert Nagy are special guests in Bucharest concerts.

Willy Buchler who will conduct the orchestra will also preside Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna on January 1 2015 on New Year’s Concerts in Wiener Konzerthaus. Born in Vienna and first guest conductor of the Vienna Strauss Festival Orchestra for over 20 years, he is one of the foremost ambassadors of Viennese music.

Peter Guth, the well-known Austrian violinist and conductor founded Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna in 1978.

The Strauss Festival Orchestra is a production created in cooperation with several established ensembles of the highest quality and reputation, bringing each New Year the Strauss music to a growing public. Made of professors and soloists with the highest professional and musical competence, the Strauss Festival Orchestra has managed to keep the typical Viennese artistic expressions alive, awakening the interest of the most critical audiences all over Europe.

Alexandrescu’ Theatre); Bacau – December 18 (Summer Theatre); Constanta – December 19 (Cultural Center of Syndicates); Bucharest – December 20 and 21( Palace Hall).
