Violinist David Garrett, pianist Richard Clayderman, Lara Fabian, bands such as Foreigner, Judas Priest or Rag’n’Bone Man, the author of “Human” hit, are among the foreign artists who will perform in Romania in 2018.
Shows like the one by famous Michael Flatley, who will come back to Bucharest with the performance “Dangerous Games”, or festivals such as UNTOLD, AWAKE or Summer Well are also on the list.
The brand new year will be opened by the State Ensemble of the St. Petersburg Ballet on Ice, who brings the “Swan Lake” show again at Sala Palatului in Bucharest on January 15.
The queen of fado, Maritza, will also return to Bucharest in February. She will perform at Sala Palatului on February 17 in a 75-minute show.
Famous Spanish baritone Carlos Marin will perform in Bucharest at the same venue, Sala Palatului on February 26, and Spanish actress Innoncence is the special gest of the gig.
Dutch-born singer Caro Emerald will also come back at Sala Palatului on February 26 in a concert that is part of the world tour “Emerald Island”.
Renowned pianist Richard Clayderman is also coming back to Romania on March 8, in a concert celebrating women on their international day.
Russian Cossack State Dance Company will bring an exquisite show in Bucharest at Sala Palatului on March 26, which is mixing gymnastics and acrobatics with ballet, classic and modern dance, but also with live music and spectacular costumes.
Famous singer Lara Fabian marks a new come back in Romania, for two gigs: the first one is hosted by Sala Palatului in Bucharest on March 29 and the second one at the Polyvalent Hall in Cluj-Napoca two days later. Lara Fabian will introduce her new album, “Camouflage”, but famous hits like “Je t’aime” and “Je suis malade” will not miss the shows either.
The month of April will bring a new show by Lord of the Dance, “Dangerous Games” at Sala Palatului in the Capital on April 13, the show produced by the famous Michael Flatley. The performance will include 3D holographic projections, special effects, dancing robots, internationally renowned acrobats and the famous Irish dancers’ troupe.
The legendary American-British band Foreigner will come for the first time in Romania, at Sala Palatului in Bucharest on May 7. The gig is part of their world tour “40th Anniversary Tour”.
The author of the known hit “Human”, Rag’n’Bone Man, also comes in Romania for the first time, at Sala Palatului in Bucharest on May 8, in a show part of the”Grande Reserve Tour”.
Famous violinist David Garrett’s concert is booked at Sala Palatului in June, within the tour “Explosive-Live”. There was one concert initially scheduled on June 8, but a second show was set for June 9, following the ticket huge demand.
The month of June ends with the second edition of Dakini Festival, June 27-July 1 on Tuzla beach in Constanta, with many artists performing: Chill/Live, Psy Trance, Micro, Gaudi AllStars Orchestra Live, Prem Joshua Band Live, Ott. Live, Ace Ventura, Alpha Portal, Astrix, Ada Khaled.
Judas Priest is expected at Romexpo, in Bucharest on July 22, for a gig which is part of the “Firepower” tour.
Electric Castle 2018 is due at Banffy Castle in Cluj from July 18 to July 22, with the first artists revealed being Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, London Grammar, Net Sky, Valentino Khan, Wolf Alice, London Elektricity, Kriss Kross Amsterdam.
The 4th edition of Untold Festival is also taking place in Cluj-Napoca during August 2-5, and Summer Well Festival is following closely on Stirbey domain, near Bucharest, on August 11-12. The first announced for Summer Well 2018 is Cigarettes After Sex.
The second edition of AWAKE Festival is taking music lovers to Teleki domain in the Gornestiu village in Mures county on August 17-19. Among the announced artists to perform there are Wilkinson live, Milky Chance, The Subways, next to de The Parlotones, Fink, Subcarpaţi, Hanu’ cu Braga, Mihail, Şatra B.E.N.Z., DJ Shiver, DJ Sauce, DJ Antenna and Detour.
