A Romanian will referee the re-editing of the 2022 Conference League final

Referee Radu Petrescu was delegated by UEFA to the match between Feyenoord and AS Roma. The two teams will face each other in the play-off for the Europa League round of 16, after they met in the final of the first edition of the Conference League in 2022 (Istvan Kovacs was then in the center).
The match will take place on Thursday, from 19:45, at the “De Kuip” stadium in Rotterdam.
Petrescu will be assisted by assistants Radu Ghinguleac and Mircea Mihail Grigoriu, while the fourth official will be Marcel Bîrsan.
Cătălin Popa and Ovidiu Hațegan (assistant) will be in the VAR room.
The two teams will meet for the third consecutive season in European competitions. AS Roma came out victorious each time: 1-0 in the Conference League final (2021/22) and 4-2 (on aggregate) in the quarter-finals of the Europa League (2022/23).
Romania will also be represented in the Conference League: Augustus Constantin will be a referee observer at the match between Maccabi Haifa and Gent. The game will be played on Thursday, in Budapest, in the play-off for the eighth.
