Romanian athlete Alina Emilia Vuc won the silver medal in the 48 kg category on Thursday at the wrestling Under-23 European Championships in the Polish city of Walbrzych, after being defeated in the final by Russian Nadezhda Fedorova (8-4).
In the first round, Alina defeated Vuc Evin Demirhan , Turkey (6-4) in the quarterfinals she defeated Julie Sabbath, France (11-0) and in the semi-finals she defeated Latvian Karalina Tjapko (14-4) . The bronze medals were won by Vanessa Kaladinskaia (Belarus) and Evin Demirhan (Turkey).
