The pair Marius Copil/Adrian Ungur qualified for the quarterfinals of the doubles tennis tournament BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy (ATP), with total prizes of EUR 439,405, having defeated on Tuesday at the BNR Arenas Bucharest 6-1, 6-2 Chris Guccione (Australia)/ Andre Sa (Brazil).
Copil and Ungur have achieved victory in just 50 minutes and have earned EUR 3,960 and 45 ATP points.
In the quarterfinals, the two Romanians will face the winners of the match between Florin Mergea (Romania)/ Rohan Bopanna (India), favourites number two and Marcos Baghdatis (Cyprus)/ Mikhail Youzhny (Russia) to be played later on Wednesday.
Also on Wednesday will be played the match between Horia Tecau/ Jean-Julien Rojer (Netherlands), the main favourites and Patrick Grigoriu/Costin Paval.
