Romanian football champions CFR Cluj played a disappointing match Tuesday evening, as it was defeated by Malmo 0-1, the hosts had no shots on target. The match counted for the second qualifying round of Champions League.
The team has returned to European competitions after fours year, nevertheless the qualification to the third round seems in doubt.
The only goal was scored by Carlos Strandberg in the 45th minute.
The return match in Malmo will be played on August 1.
The winning team will play the third qualifying round of the Champions League against Ludogorets Razgrad (Bulgaria) or Vidi Szekesfehervar (Hungary), the defeated team will play in the third qualifying round of Europa League against Sutjeska Miksic (Montenegro) or Alashkert (Armenia).
