Women’s handball team CSM Bucharest won the match on Sunday 31-26 (16-13), away, against FC Midtjylland, in Denmark, supported by about 400 Romanians. Following this result, the Bucharest team tops the main group 1 with 10 points in 5 matches, followed by Rostov on Don – 8 points and Gyor.
Cristina Neagu was the MVP of the game, with ten goals scored.
The next match will take place at home, against Rostov on Don, on Sunday, February 11.
The Romanian champions are already qualified to the Champions League quarter-finals, the third year in a row.
