Romania is leading Israel 2-0, following the victories registered by Romanian tennis players on Friday.
Adrian Ungur defeated Israel’s Bar Tzuf Botzer 7-5, 6-3, 6-0, at the Transylvania Hall in Sibiu, in the first singles match of the Davis Cup first round meeting, Group I value for Europe-Africa region.
In the second match of the day, Marius Copil defeated Dudi Sela 6-7 (3), 7-6 (3), 6-4, 6-2, a player whose parents are Romanian.

Saturday, from 15:00: Florin Mergea/Horia Tecau – Jonathan Erlich/Edan Leshem;
Sunday at 13.00: Adrian Ungur – Dudi Sela, Marius Copil – Bar Tzuf Botzer;
The winning team will go into the second round of Group I and the losing team will go in the first round of the playoff to remain in Group I. The next opponent will be Slovenia or Slovakia, which are to meet also in the first round of the group.
