Handball: Three Romanian players selected to U-18 All Star Team

After claiming victory on Sunday in the final of the Women’s Youth (U18) World Handball Championship in Macedonia, Romania’s team came to have three representatives in the All Star Team of the 2014 Women’s Junior World Championship. Thus, pivot Lorena Ostase, centre back Cristina Laslo and left back Bianca Maria Bazaliu were the three Romanian players who were chosen by an expert jury of the International Handball Federation (IHF) to become part of the team. Bazaliu ranked 3rd in the final ranking of the top scorers at the World Championship, with 76 points, after Sojeong Yu (South Korea), 81 goals scored, and Ida Marie Hernes (Norway), 76 goals scored. Romania claimed victory on Sunday against Germany, 32-21, in the final of the competition played in Ohrid.
