Indian Wells: Sorana Cirstea vs. Monica Niculescu in the first round

Following the draw on Tuesday morning for the women’s table at Indian Wells, Premier Mandatory competition, Romanian tennis players Monica Niculescu and Sorana Cirstea (photo) will play against each other in the first round. The winner will face Timea Bacsinsky (Switzerland) in the second round.

Simona Halep, 4^th seeded, winner of the competition in 2015, will play in the second round against the winner of the match between Alison Riske and Donna Vekic. On the same side of the table with Halep plays also Angelique Kerber, 2^nd seeded.

Patricia Tig and Ana Bogdan will play in the qualifying rounds at Indian Wells.
