ITF: Romania climbs to 5th position in Fed Cup rankings

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has released the new Fed Cup rankings following the results registered last week. Romania has climbed three positions, up to the 5th, after the qualification to the competition’s semi-finals.

Canada has also climbed in the rankings, due to the results achieved by Bianca Andreescu, to the 11th position.

On the top spot is still the Czech Republic, followed by the US and Belarus.

Romania defeated the Czech Republic 3-2 during the weekend and has qualified to the Fed Cup semi-finals.
