“For me, the fact that I am the president of FC Barcelona is a real privilege and in moments like these you really feel everything that Barca represents. Romania is a football country and has many great players. We from Barcelona are eager to see the activity of the academy in Romania. What are we going to do with this academy? We want these children to be involved in sports, we want these children to know our true style of playing football. Because it is the element that makes Barcelona recognized all over the world, through this style of play, and we are very proud of our style of play. We want one more thing, the boys and girls who will train at the academy in Bucharest participate in the international tournament organized by Barcelona, every year. Today we can say that Romania and Barca are more united. To become a great player you have to work, be disciplined, have a passion for football and above all enjoy what you do. And the most important thing, be good people”, said Laporta at the official opening of the football school.
The president of Barca Academy Romania, Florin Răducioiu, said that the Bucharest football school will live up to the standards imposed by the Catalan group. “We assure you of one thing that this academy will carry out its activity according to the methodology and standards imposed by the parent club, respectively Football Club Barcelona, with the hope that in the future we will train great players”, said Răducioiu.
