Romania’s national football team is 39th in the FIFA rankings released on Thursday.
The national team started the year on the 16th place, however since March it has registered a downward trend in the rankings – 19th in April, 22nd in June, 25th in August, 32nd in September, 34th in October and 39th in November.
The balance sheet in 2016 is: 13 matches played, 3 wins, 5 draws, 5 defeats, goal difference of 18-15.
Romania’s worst ranking was registered in 2010-2011 on the 56th place.
The adversaries in the 2018 World Cup qualifying group are: Poland – 15th, Denmark – 46th, Montenegro – 63rd, Armenia – 86th and Kazakhstan – 98th.
