Romania will host the beach wrestling World Championships in June

Romania will host this year in June, the World Championship for wrestling on the beach, the Romanian Wrestling Federation announced on its official Facebook page.

The event will take place in Mangalia, where the ‘most valuable fighters of the world’ are awaited.

Romania has been awarded the organizing of the 2016 Junior European Championships in Bucharest (June 21-26), this year Romania will host also the World Championships for beach wrestling. The national federation hopes to host also the senior European Championships in 2017.

Vlad Caras, triple world champion on the beach, and Tomi Hinoveanu, gold medallist at the World Championships, will now have the chance to defend their titles in front of their Romanian fans, the Romanian Wrestling Federation stated.
