Romanian football champion’s coach, Dan Petrescu, tests positive for COVID-19. Other 12 members of the club infected

Dan Petrescu, the coach of CFR Cluj, Romania’s football champion, has tested positive for COVID-19, according to gsp.ro. He is the 13th member of the football club infected with the novel coronavirus.

Dan Petrescu has been transported to the hospital with a special ambulance and he is expected to stay in hospital at least 48 hours.

Out of the 13 cases, three tested negative at the second testing. The first positive case was reported on July 19 (midfielder Adrian Paun) and the match with FCSM scheduled on the same day was postponed. The CFR Cluj team is in isolation at Mogosoaia.

Cristi Bălgrădean, Cătălin Golofca and Claudiu Petrilahae initially tested positive for COVID-19, but the following tests came out negative.

CFR Cluj should play against FC Botosani in Cluj on Sunday, in the 9th stage of the A League playoff.
