Romanian tennis player Marius Copil (26 years, 176th ATP) won on Sunday the challenger tournament in Budapest (with total prizes of EUR 64,000) after defeating Belgium’s Steve Darcis (32 years, 115th ATP) 6 -4, 6-2.
Copil won in one hour and 12 minutes.
Marius Copil is to be awarded a cheque for EUR 9,200 and 100 ATP points.
For Copil it was the second challenger final this year, after the one lost at Surbiton (United Kingdom), tournament with total prizes of EUR 42,500.
This is the third challenger title won by Marius Copil in his career, after those at Kazan (Russia, USD 75,000) in 2011 and Quimper (France, EUR 42,500) in 2013.
