Romanian tennis player Simona Halep tops the WTA rankings released on Monday for the second week. Mihaela Buzarnescu has entered top 100 for the first time, ranking 89th.
Halep is closely followed by Garbine Muguruza with 40 points less and by Karolina Pliskova – 570 points behind.
Other Romanian players: Sorana Cirstea – 37th, Irina Begu – 56th (up one position), Monica Niculescu – 66th (down five positions) and Mihaela Buzarnescu – 89th (up 16 positions) after playing the final of Linz tournament.
In the doubles, Monica Niculescu ranks 20th, Raluca Olaru – 37th, Irina Begu – 38th, Mihaela Buzarnescu – 96th.
