Tennis: Simona Halep tops the WTA rankings for 46 weeks

Romanian tennis player, Simona Halep, tops the WTA rankings in the last release from the association on Monday. She is on the top position for 46 weeks, placing her on the 11^th position in the all-time standings. On the 10^th position is Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) with 51 weeks at the top.

Halep has more than 2,000 points ahead of Caroline Wozniacki and more than 2,500 points ahead of Angelique Kerber.

Other Romanian tennis players: Irina Begu is down two positions, from the 53^rd to the 55^th; Mihaela Buzarnescu remains on the 23^rd, Sorana Cirstea on the 52^nd, Ana Bogdan on the 80^th and Monica Niculescu on the 81^st position.

In the doubles, Monica Niculescu is down one position, to the 50^th, Irina Bara is also descending two positions to the 78^th. Irina Begu remains on the 25^th, Mihaela Buzarnescu on the 29^th, Raluca Olaru on the 53^rd and Sorana Cirstea on the 87^th.

In the Race to Singapore rankings, Simona Halep is also on the first position, followed by Angelique Kerber and Petra Kvitova.
