The pair made up by Romanian tennis players Mihaela Buzarnescu and Raluca Olaru has won, on Saturday, the final of the doubles event in Strasbourg, defeating the 3rd seeded pair Nadia Kichenok (Ukraine)/Anastasia Rodionovna (Australia) 7-5, 7-5.
It is the first tournament won by Buzarnescu (30) in her career, whereas Olaru won 7 tournaments in the doubles.
The Romanian pair will collect USD 12,300 for the victory. It was the second doubles final this year for both Romanian tennis players. Olaru won the title in Rabat in pair with Ana Blinkova (Russia), Buzarnescu played in pair with Lidia Morozova (Belarus) the final in Prague.
Mihaela Buzarnescu has also played in the singles, she was defeated on Friday by Dominika Cibulkova (Slovakia) 2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-1.
