UEFA opens disciplinary investigation against FRF after the match against Switzerland

UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) after the incidents that occurred, after the match against Switzerland in Group A, at EURO 2016.

UEFA has decided to begin an investigation after the Romanian fans lit several torches in the stands during the match on Wednesday, News.ro informs.

Most likely, the Romanian Football Federation will have to pay a fine.

The European football body has announced that it has also opened a disciplinary procedure against Hungary, after fans lit torches during the match against Austria.

After the opening match against France, some of Romanian fans got into trouble, as the fans of Steaua and Dinamo football clubs got into a fight on the streets of Paris, and nine of them were arrested.

During the qualification matches Romania had problems with the ultras and FRF was fined repeatedly by UEFA.
