On Friday took place the draw of the matches at Wimbledon. In the first round of competition in London, Romanian tennis player Simona Halep (5th seeded) will face Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (Slovakia, 40th WTA, last winner from BRD Bucharest Open), while Sorana Cirstea will play against Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic, 10th seeded).

Irina-Camelia Begu (seeded 26th) – Carina Witthoeft (Germany, 104th WTA)
Patricia Maria Tig (100th WTA) – Sara Errani (seeded 21st)
Monica Niculescu (47th WTA) vs. a tennis player coming from the qualifying round.
