Montenegrin handball player Itana Grbic has signed a contract valid until the summer of 2021 with CSM Bucharest, the team has announced on Monday.
Aged 22, she plays as left wing and comes from Buducnost Podgorica, a team for which she has played in 12 Champions League matches in the current edition and has scored 34 times.
Itana Grbic also played for Vardar Skopje in Macedonia, a team with which she won the title in the domestic competition and won the third place in the Champions League in 2015. After the two seasons at Vardar, Itana has transferred to Buducnost, hotnews.ro informs.
In recent years, the new acquisition of the “tigresses” has been a steady presence in her national team, for which he has 38 selections and scored 41 goals.
Itana Grbic is the ninth player that the Bucharest Municipal Sports Club brings for the next season, after the contracts with Romanians Crina Pintea, Laura Chiper, Denisa Dedu, Gabriela Perianu, and foreign players Nora Mork, Carmen Martin, Linnea Torstensson and Andrea Klikovac, who have also officially announced their transfers.
In addition, CSM Bucharest extended the contacts of three of the team’s basic handball players, i.e. team captain Iulia Curea, Dragana Cvijic, and Elizabeth Omoregie.
