Women’s handball: Nora Mork to sign for CSM Bucharest

CSM Bucharest women’s handball team is about to lose Cristina Neagu, three times best player in the world (2010, 2015 and 2016), but has agreed to sign another top player from Europe. Norwegian Nora Mork, 27, has announced she will leave European Champions Gyor to sign for Romanian Champions, CSM Bucharest, adevarul.ro reports.

Mork has made the announcement in the Norwegian press.

“I am delighted to announce that I have signed a two-year contract with CSM Bucharest, a team which believes in me and in my abilities. I am more motivated than ever to return to the game, to develop as player and to continue my career along with some of the best handball players in the world. I do have high hopes with this team and I believe we can achieve great things together in the coming seasons. Now I want to focus as player of ETO Gyor. I will enjoy every moment with my colleagues and my fans,” Mork said.

Nora Mork will arrive in Bucharest after a delicate moment of her career, after two knee operations in the past year, a period when she could not play. Nora Mork will replace Amanda Kurtovici, who will sign for Gyor as of this summer.

Nora Mork’s achievements:

National team: Olympic Games – Bronze Medalist: 2016

World Championship: Winner: 2015, Silver Medalist: 2017

European Championship: Winner: 2010, 2014, 2016
