Wrestling, European Championships: Andreea Beatrice Ana wins bronze medal for Romania

Romanian wrestler Andreea Beatrice Ana won, on Thursday, the bronze medal at the 55 kg category, the first medal for Romania at the European Wrestling Championships taking place in Bucharest, at Polyvalent Hall.

The Romanian wrestler defeated in the match for positions 3-4 Mariana Gradutan (R, of Moldova) with the score of 6-4.

In the quarter-finals Ana defeated Aroanna Carieri 5-1 but lost the semi-final against Evelina Georgieva Nikolova (0-3).

30 athletes compete for Romania at the Wrestling European Championships in Bucharest, during April 8-14.

In 2018, Romania won five medals at the European Championships in Kaspiisk, Russia – one gold, one silver and three bronze.
