More than three quarters of Romanians (77%) say that only those who cannot pay should benefit from any law on debt discharge and not those who can pay but do not want, reveals the survey ‘Romanians’ Opinion on law on debt discharge’ conducted by IRSOP Market Research & Consulting.
Most participants to the survey are against the idea that those who bought more than one house/land and face difficulties to benefit from the law, but only those who have one house (81%).
89% think it is good to have a law to help natural persons who have taken a loan and find themselves in financial difficulty.
The survey was conducted nationwide on a sample of 1,016 respondents. Interviewees were selected in 433 urban and rural localities randomly distributed across the country.
The survey was conducted for the Romanian Association of Banks (ARB) during March 28 -April 1, 2016 and the margin of error is +/- 3%.
