Google set the trekker device on a passenger cruising ship, shooting the Danube, from Bratislava to Cernavoda. The panoramic images Street View shot in 2014 were launched now for the Internet surfers, Google informed on Tuesday.
The virtual cruise is rejoining six countries- Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania, as well as three capitals, gorges and thousand of impressive sceneries.
Several exquisite spots on the Romanian side of the Danube can be now explored on Google Maps: Cazanele Mari, near Ponicova Cave, Anghel Saligny Bridge at Cernavoda, Cazanele Mici and the statue of the Dacian king Decebal, Golubac fortress, Giurgiu-Ruse Bridge or Iron Gates 1.
“Shooting the Danube’s course represents one of the amplest special projects developed by Google Street View. It is also the first time that Google comprises a collection of images from six countries. Now, any one can embark on a Danube cruise and discover memorable locations such as Bratislava, the Parliament Palace of Budapest, Belgrade or Cazanele Dunarii (The Danube’s Depressions),” Dan Bulucea, country manager Google Romania said.
