At least 10,00 Romanians will spend their winter holidays in exotic locations, paying from 1, 500 to 3,000 euros on the average for these exclusive trips, Eturia travel agency estimated. 3,000 of the total stays are booked through Eturia, which is specialized on customized vacations and exotic destinations.
Most of the requests were for trips in Cuba, Maldives, Dominican Republic, Thailand and Mexico, but also for round trips in US, Argentina or Vietnam.
“This year, Romanians have thought about their winter holiday in good time, starting to book their Christmas and New Year’s Eve stays since June in order to benefit of the early booking discounts. Up to present, over 40 % of the available seats in Eturia portfolio for the winter holidays have already been paid,” reads a press release of the agency.
The most expensive vacation sold for the New Year’s Eve so far this year was a two-week round trip for a couple in Argentina and Brazil worth EUR 25,000, with business class flights.
