Travel demand for Valentine’s weekend is soaring, with 37% of bookings made by Romanian couples eager to celebrate abroad, according to a travel tech platform. Paris, the City of Love, tops the list, with bookings surging by 36.8%. The Bucharest-Paris route ranks among the top three for couples traveling from Europe, proving that for Romanians, romance and the Eiffel Tower are a perfect match. Milan follows closely behind, with a 31.5% increase in bookings, while London is also gaining popularity, showing a 14.3% rise in reservations.

Romanians are opting for short yet memorable escapes, with 57% booking trips of up to three days, searches revealed. The most popular departure date is February 13th—just in time to wake up in a picturesque European city on Valentine’s Day. Meanwhile, those seeking an extended getaway are staying an average of four days, allowing more time for romantic strolls along the Seine, candlelit dinners in Milan, or admiring London’s breathtaking architecture.

But love isn’t just taking Romanians abroad—it’s also bringing travelers to Romania! Couples from Italy and the UK are choosing Romania as their Valentine’s destination, with Bucharest emerging as the most popular city. Most of these visitors will arrive on February 14th and stay for four days, eager to experience Romanian-style romance. On average, foreign travelers paid €129.42 for their tickets to Romania.

Across Europe, Spain, Italy, and France remain the top destinations for Valentine’s getaways, with Rome, Paris, and Barcelona leading the list. Spanish and UK travelers are booking the most trips for this period, showing their enthusiasm for a romantic escape.
