The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) condemns “in the firmest terms” the execution of Japanese citizen Kenji Goto by the terrorist organization ISIL, a MAE release remitted on Sunday to Agerpres shows.
Furthermore, the Romanian Foreign Ministry sends its condolences to the mourning family and expresses its solidarity with Japan and the Japanese people.
In the same document, MAE states that terrorist acts committed by ISIL “have no justification”, and those involved in committing them “must answer to the law”.
“The crimes committed by ISIL and the repercussions of spreading this extremist ideology are extremely concerning and determine us to act firmly to improve combating international terrorism and extremist ideologies”, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, as quoted by the same MAE release.
The terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) stated that it has executed Japanese hostage Kenji Goto, according to a video posted on Saturday on Twitter by the media arm of the terrorist organization, Al-Furqan.
