Balkanik Festival returns to Romania for the 8th edition at the Baneasa Royal Railway Station and Youniverse Summer Club in Bucharest during September 7-9.
Balkanik Festival has become one of the most important world music festivals in Europe, acknowledged by international magazines such as Songlines or Folker and being awarded the EFFE Label – Remarkable Festival for the third year in a row.
Artists such as Asaf Avidan, Yasmin Levy, Fanfara Tirana meets Transglobal Underground, Kroke, Light in Babylon, Manonera are expected to take the stage this year. Many others are to be announced in August.
Besides concerts, BalKaniK! Festival will also comprise: a handicraft fair, a young craftsmen fair, video mapping, photo exhibitions, installations and performances. The 8th edition also comes up with an international food court, dance, tarot, poetry and dance.
