Director General of Bergenbier, Lucian Ghinea, is from January president of the Brewers’ association in Romania, taking over the position from Onno Rombouts, Managing Director with Heineken Romania, who led the association during 2014, Mediafax informs.
“Together with the partners from the association I will continue the large projects initiated by my predecessors, projects aimed at sustainable development of the beer sector and beer culture in Romania. Although the beer market in recent years has undergone a time of decline, we hope in Director General of Bergenbier is the new president of the Brewers’ association 2015 to meet the conditions of economic and fiscal leading to a correct positive development of the market, “said Ghinea.
Ghinea works in the group Molson Coors, which includes Bergenbier, 12 years, with a break of a year and a half in the period 2008-2009.
The association brings together manufacturers Bergenbier, Heineken, Ursus, United Romanian Breweries Bereprod and Martens and a mini-brewery (beer Clinic), which provides over 80 percent of the beer consumed in Romania. However, the association includes representatives of producers of raw materials: Soufflet Malt Romania and Association of hop producers.
