Banca Transilvania (BT) has become the only company listed at Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) that enters in the component of STOXX Eastern Europe 50 index, part of which follows the biggest companies in Eastern Europe.
The index provides a representation of the 50 most important companies listed, leaders in different economic sectors, in countries like Russia, Turkey, Grece, Estonia, Poland and Hungary.
STOXX Eastern Europe 50 index is part of STOXX Ltd., the operator of Deutsche Boerse Group’s index business, and a global provider of innovative and tradable index concepts.
The securities of Banca Transilvania (TLV) were ones of the most traded on the local stock market, on the main market in June, according to BVB data. Including Banca Transilvania shares, there were made 10,730 transactions, amounting to over RON 255.4 million.

BT’s operating income reached RON 1,415.2 million and the net profit RON 458.3 million in H1 of 2016. Bank’s assets amount to RON 47.89 billion, of which net loans RON 25.8 billion; customer deposits stand at RON 39 billion.
