Recently, the Romanian Athenaeum hosted over 700 guests, representatives of the Royal House of Romania, ambassadors, political personalities, businessmen, artists, journalists, BMW enthusiasts, gathered to celebrate the presence in Romania for two decades of the most successful premium car brands in the world.
“In addition to activities related to the brands BMW, BMW M, MINI, Rolls-Royce and Motorrad, we are happy to announce that Automobile Bavaria will expand its activity, including through the brands we sell the BMW i range. Automobile Bavaria soon becomes dealer and service center for BMW i vehicles. Bucharest is the sixth city in the European Union in size, so BMW’s presence in the country we consider justified. So, we look forward with confidence for a new success story of BMW in Romania, ” said Andrea Castronovo, President of BMW Group Central and Southeastern Europe attenting the event.
In other context, starting October 1st, Wolfgang Schulz was appointed as General Manager of the BMW Group Romania, replacing Alexander Milanov, who has served as GM of BMW Group’s Romanian and Bulgarian operations since March 2013. Milanov remains at the helm of BMW Group Bulgaria.
According to a press release, before coming to Romania, Wolfgang Schulz, 47, was Key Account Corporate Sales for BMW Group Germany, a unit that sells over 35,000 cars a year.
