A Romanian to run Schneider Electric operations in Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo

Ionut Farcas, Head of End User Sales and Field Services within Schneider Electric Romania, has climbed a step, being promoted as the new Country President Schneider Electric for Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo, a press release informs on Thursday.

In this new role, Romanian-born Ionut Farcas will be relocated to Bulgaria, at the Sofia office, and will report directly to Philippe Sauer, Schneider Electric Country President for Southeast Europe.

With vast experience in the energy sector, Ionut Farcas has joined Schneider Electric Romania in September 2014, as the new vice-president for Energy division.

Before joining Schneider Electric, Farcas worked for eight years at Enel, mananging responsabilities in regulatory department, marketing, sourcing, acquisition, planning and implementation. Since 2007 to 2009, he occupied positions managing regulatory services within Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia, sales director for the two companies until 2012, project management officer (PMO) global and business services within One Company Project for Enel Spa Rome (2011-2012) and head of Romania service area and director for Enel Servicii Comune (2012-2014).

Ionut Farcas graduated the Engineering Faculty within Vasile Alecsandri University in Bacau and has a master in marketing at the same university. He studied also an engineering program at Genoa within Erasmus program between 2000 and 2001. Also, he completed a leadership program in energy of IESE Business School in Barcelona and SDA Bocconi University in Milan.
