AGRO IFN received approval from the National Bank of Romania
AGRO IFN SA, the financing instrument for the agricultural sector launched by ROCA Agri RDF, the agriculture holding within ROCA Investments, has received approval from the National Bank of Romania (BNR). In the first two weeks since becoming operational, AGRO IFN SA has already extended its initial loans to support businesses in the Romanian agricultural sector.
“Agriculture plays a crucial role in Romania’s economy; therefore, by diversifying the funding sources for the agricultural sector, we aim to create a positive impact and contribute to the prosperity of agricultural communities in Romania,” stated Alexandru Savin, CEO of ROCA Agri RDF.
“We aspire to support the development of Romanian agriculture, and a significant step in this direction is the operationalization of AGRO IFN SA through the authorization granted by the BNR. Our mission aligns with the mission of the ROCA Agri RDF holding, to support the sustainable development of the Romanian agricultural sector by expanding existing trusted partnerships. Thus, we provide tailored financing solutions to the needs of local small and medium-sized agricultural businesses, including short-term credits for agricultural production financing with rapid approval and a flexible repayment schedule adapted to the seasonal nature of farmers’ activities,” said Aurora Petre, General Manager of AGRO IFN SA.
Established as part of ROCA Agri RDF, AGRO IFN SA benefits from the advantage of using the existing distribution network, covering most of the country’s territory, thus contributing to the holding’s goal of offering comprehensive and accessible services to its clients.
Launched on the Romanian market in July 2022, ROCA Agri RDF concluded the year 2022 with businesses exceeding 156 million euros, doubling its exploited agricultural area to 4,000 hectares. Through its expanding companies, namely RDF, RDF Agricultură, Adidana, Dachim, Supliment, and now AGRO IFN, the holding stands as a major player in the production and distribution of inputs and cereal trade.
