The Romanian German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) is opening a new office in Cluj-Napoca. “AHK Transylvania office will provide companies in Transylvania with direct access to our dynamic and innovative community and will endorse the companies in the region in their activities,” said Sebastian Metz, director general and member in the board of directors.
“Opening this office will enable that issues at regional level are better understood. We’ll get involved and we’ll support companies both within the working groups within AHK and in the relation with the public institutions,” said in his turn, Dragoș Anastasiu, President AHK Romania.
“We have chosen Cluj for it is the best starting point to enhance activities in the entire region. As a traditional university city in Romania, Cluj-Napoca has an excellent brand, and it is particularly significant for the German economy: among those 7,500 German companies operating in Romania, 435 are located in Cluj County, 6%,” said Florin Sabou, member of the managing board and general manager of a German company headquartered in Cluj.
AHK representatives also said that German investors are better served by Cluj as it s very well connected to Europe and has an active local administration, as well as a very dynamic and innovative business community.
